Reviewing Process
Nuclear Energy University Programs relies on experts from academia, national laboratories, industry and government to review research and development proposals.
Reviewers are screened to ensure they are evaluating proposals in areas in which they have expert knowledge. However, they are not allowed to review proposals in workscopes in which they have submitted an application.
All reviewers are volunteers and must abide by conflict of interest guidelines. No honorariums are paid so that the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE NE) can fund more university-led R&D awards.
Your participation as a reviewer is vital to the success of NEUP. If you would like more information about becoming a reviewer, please contact Ryan Jensen, NEUP’s review coordinator, at Ryan.Jensen@inl.gov.
