Jerry E. Martin
On May 21, 2010, following nomination by President Obama and confirmation by the United States Senate, Jerry E. Martin was sworn in to be the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee for a term of four years.
Mr. Martin was born in middle Tennessee and grew up in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and then graduated from Stanford Law School in Palo Alto, California.
Prior to becoming the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, Mr. Martin was a partner at Barrett, Johnston & Parsley. Mr. Martin’s private practice was focused on representing aggrieved shareholders, consumers and employees in collective and class action cases in federal courts around the country.
Mr. Martin has vowed to work closely with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to effectively represent the United States government in all matters in the Middle District of Tennessee.
