From Texas Department of State Health Services
A puppy that was reported to have been given away at a Bryan convenience store has been found in Travis County and has tested negative for rabies.
The Texas Department of State Health Services issued a news release last week about the missing puppy, which health officials said may have been exposed to rabies. A joint investigation between the Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department and DSHS resulted in the puppy being found Sunday in Travis County.
DSHS laboratory tests today showed the puppy did not have rabies.
