Lesson Plans
The National Park Service has prepared a series of lesson plans which cover a variety of topics useful in the classroom and on site at Cape Cod National Seashore. These plans provide background information, student reading materials, and on site and off site activities. Groups visiting Cape Cod National Seashore for any time period, ranging from a day to a week will find these materials useful.
One Day Educational Group Opportunities
Cape Cod National Seashore offers many features and services that enable groups to have fulfilling self-directed one day visits. Visitor Center facilities, self-guided trails, and natural and historical features offer groups a wide range of resources to study. Details to help plan your visit are included.
Overnight Educational Group Opportunities
The National Park Service operates a self-service year-round overnight Environmental Education program, known as the NEED program, at Coast Guard Beach in Eastham. Groups can apply for overnight accommodations through out the year ranging from two day to one week intervals. Groups can also stay at other neighboring overnight facilities and still take part in National Park Service environmental education programs and activities.
