What was the biggest accomplishment using DNA technology this year?      Praveen Cherukuri, Ph.D.: I currently carry out the analysis of sequence variation in relation to the protein coding regions of the human genome. One of the key advancements over the past couple years has been the improvement in the ability to sequence DNA much faster for a much cheaper cost. There are multiple companies that are competing to bring down the costs, and sooner than later it would be possible to sequence the entire human genome on a regular basis.
