San Antonio business leaders meet at Army North’s historic Quadrangle

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Charles Canedy speaks to the attendees from the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee Sept. 12 in the quadrangle about U.S. Army North’s expanding homeland defense, civil support and theater security cooperation missions and the role Fort Sam Houston plays in the community. The committee seeks to support local service members and their families throughout the greater San Antonio area. Canedy is the director of Army North’s Commander’s Action Group.

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — John Thurman, local realtor and radio show host, feeds two of the numerous geese that live in U.S. Army North’s historic Quadrangle grounds Sept. 12 following a meeting of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee in the Quadrangle. The committee seeks to support local service members and their families throughout the greater San Antonio area.

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Dan Cruz, senior manager, Military Health at General Dynamics Information Technology, speaks with Maj. Gen. Adolph McQueen Jr., deputy commanding general for support, U.S. Army North, in the historic Quadrangle following the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee meeting. The committee held their meeting Sept. 12 in the Quadrangle, and committee members said they seek to improve the welfare of service members and their families who live in the greater San Antonio area.

Members of the committee maintain a strong relationship with local military representatives and work to ensure the military receives the support it needs from the local business community.

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Members of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee tour U.S. Army North’s “Sentinel,” a mobile command, control and communications vehicle that is deployed to disaster and emergency sites. The committee held their meeting Sept 12 in the historic Quadrangle and seeks to improve the welfare of service members and their families who live in the greater San Antonio area.
