The Corporal Hoffman Series pairs 5 wounded U.S. military veterans & active servicemen/women with an established artist/designer. Together the two parties collaborate to share that hero's story through the medium of art & graphic design. The result of their work is silkscreened onto a Threadless t-shirt to become a wearable work of art that carries a significant story. This [Fashion Has Heart] project also includes each of the 5 Heroes working with designers from Bates Footwear to custom-design their own military-inspired boot that aids to further tell their story through the medium of fashion. This project fills the void between the military world and the creative community. By bringing the two parties together to utilize the talents of the Artist in order to share the powerful story of the Hero, it serves as a celebration of our freedoms by the those who sacrificed for them & by those who benefit from them. Without their sacrifice, there is no freedom of fashion or art.
