The World Bank is helping to fight poverty and improve living standards for the people of Nigeria. As of March 2012, the World Bank had approved over 130 International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) loans and International Development Association (IDA) credits to Nigeria for a total amount of more than US$13.16 billion.
