NCHHSTP Atlas Now Includes TB Data
Tuberculosis data are now available in the updated Atlas, created by CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP). This online tool also now includes data on viral hepatitis, in addition to the HIV, AIDS, and STD surveillance data that were available in the previous version.
NCHHSTP developed the Atlas earlier this year to provide users a platform to query data, and create interactive maps and tables of surveillance data across the Center’s focus diseases. A key feature of the tool is the ability to view data trends and patterns over time in the United States and across demographic groups, allowing users to view how these epidemics have changed over time and across geographic location.
This valuable tool will help public health professionals, researchers, community leaders, health care providers, and others view overlapping disease trends, set research priorities, and plan prevention and care services. The NCHHSTP Atlas is available for public use at www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/atlas.
