6/29/2012 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) -- Permanent change of station and temporary duty reporting has been restored for Airmen headed for the Air Force Academy, Air Force Personnel Center officials said.

The 10th Air Base Wing commander implemented the stop movement order in response to an encroaching wildfire north of the Academy grounds.

The order was lifted at 5 a.m. June 29, and military and civilian members who were stopped en route are directed to proceed to the Academy, said Cristi Bowes, the AFPC assignments advisor.

"Airmen who were stopped on their way to the Academy will need an amendment on orders issued before they departed to ensure their time is accounted for," Bowes said. "Airmen who don't hear from the issuing personnel section should contact that section for amendment information."

Military members who have questions can also contact the AFPC assignment programs at procedures branch at afpc.dpapp@us.af.mil. Civilians can email the AFPC program management and evaluation branch at afpc.dpiec.af.programs.oversight@us.af.mil.
