Approaches for reducing greenhouse gases from transportation include using low greenhouse gas fuels, improving vehicle technologies, reducing the number of vehicle miles traveled, and operating vehicles more efficiently. In combination, system approaches that combine these strategies can reduce transportation-related emissions significantly.
