NORFOLK, Va.- The Navy soon will begin giving Breathalyzer tests to many of its Sailors before they report to work aboard a ship under a new program that will spread to the Marine Corps later this year. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus announced the plan Monday during a rare "all hands" call from aboard the USS Bataan at Naval Station Norfolk.

 

2-6-2012 Sailors separating due to ERB will retain Navy benefits after service

NORFOLK, Va. -- More than 3,000 Sailors will separate from active duty due to the Enlisted Retention Board (ERB) process. In order to ease transition of ERB for selected Sailors joining the civilian world, the Navy has authorized certain benefits to be retained after their separation.

 

CNRSE Holds Change of Command Ceremony

Commander, Navy Region Southeast held a change of command ceremony aboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS JAX), Aug. 18. During the ceremony, Capt. John C. “Jack” Scorby Jr. relieved Rear Adm. Townsend G.“Tim” Alexander as the region’s commander.
