Habitat Management Plans
At Bear River MBR, we use an adaptive management approach to achieve habitat goals. Our goals are based on the habitat requirements of species of birds that have been identified as priority species in the Refuge’s long-range habitat management plan (Olson et al., 2004; see below for link). Each year we monitor the success of our management actions and adjust our management plans based on those results and on the forecast for water flows that the refuge is expected to receive from the Bear River.
