Please note that each genome annotation dataset is now associated with three primary identifiers: the assembly accession, the annotation release number, and the NCBI taxonomy ID or species name. - The NCBI/NLM XML specification used in PubMed Central has been adopted as part of the NISO/ANSI standard Journal Article Tag Suite (JATS, ANSI/NISO Z39.96-2012) for exchanging journal content.
