National Community Committee

What is the PRC Program’s National Community Committee?

The National Community Committee (NCC) is one of seven committees that help guide the PRC Program. The committee represents the people in communities that work with PRCs to do community-based participatory research (CBPR) in chronic disease prevention and control. Each PRC community committee sends a representative to the NCC, which makes recommendations about how community committees can share information and serve the individual centers and the national program. NCC members also facilitate the training of community members and advocate for prevention research.
