The Proposal Process
To access restricted data through the RDC, you need to submit a proposal. The proposal serves four main purposes:
- To make sure that researchers have a defined research question that addresses a public health concern.
- To determine what restricted variables are needed to complete the project.
- To assess disclosure risk based on the types of output and requested restricted variables.
- To determine the mode of access and the required software.
