Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee

In support of U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency manufacturers and services providers, the U.S. Department of Commerce is re-establishing the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (RE&EEAC). The RE&EEAC shall advise the Secretary regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services, in accordance with applicable United States regulations. The purpose of the committee is laid out in its charter.  The Department of Commerce invites nominations to the committee of U.S. citizens who will represent U.S. companies in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector that trade internationally, or U.S. trade associations or U.S. private sector organizations with activities focused on the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services. Information on the RE&EEAC’s 2010-2012 charter, members and meetings is available online for review.

Deadline Extension:

Nominations are now due by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. A Federal Register notice announcing the extension will be forthcoming.

How to Participate:

Time, agenda, and location of upcoming meetings will be posted in the Federal Register no later than 15 calendar days prior to the event.
