Clearfield County 911 resumes normal operations.

OCTOBER 31 - Clearfield County Emergency Services has resumed normal operations following hurricane Sandy.

During a 24 hour period, from Noon Monday 10-29 to Noon Tuesday 10-30, Clearfield County 911 answered nearly 750 phone calls and dispatched 194 incidents.

Emergency Services Prepares for Sandy

OCTOBER 29 - Clearfield County Emergency Services is now operating in "Emergency Storm Mode". EMA and 911 officials have put into place a few operating procedures to stream line operations.

Extra staffing has been added to the 911 Center to help process emergency calls, however responders should limit radio traffic to emergencies only.

Training to begin for MDT Project

OCTOBER 09 - Clearfield County will begin Mobile Data Terminal training on October 23rd. At least one person from each company should make plans to participate in one of the classes. We are asking that you limit the number of participants in this class to two per company.

This training session will prepare users to return to their companies and instruct all members to use the system.

BVR Classes

SEPTEMBER 18 - The Ramey Fire Company is having Basic Vehicle Rescue classes starting at 8 am on the following dates:

October 20 & 21 - BVRA
November 3 & 4 - BVRO
November 10 & 11- BVRT (need to be 18 or older)

If attending, you need to commit to all 3 weekends and cannot miss a class. Those under 18 years of age can only take the first 2 classes. Also, those over 16 also can take the first 2 classes. ... (Full Story)


Basic Fire Police

AUGUST 16 - The Clearfield County Fire Police Association and The Houtzdale Fire Co. will be sponsoring a 16 hour Revised Basic Fire Police course September 22 and 23th from 0800-1600 each day. Course will be held at the Houtzdale Fire Hall. The instructor will be Dave Thomas from Johnstown.
The Course is open to all Fire Police, Fire Chiefs, Elected Officials and anyone else wanting to attend.
