I am contemplating cloning my cat. What is your standpoint on cloning?      Barry H. Thompson, M.D., M.S.: As Medical Director at AMCG, I am responsible for activities such as professional practices, clinical guidelines, and ethical aspects of clinical genetics. How I may feel about cloning is not the point. Perhaps, you will want to solicit an opinion from your cat! Seriously, cloning is a very involved procedure, and one about which we do not have a complete understanding. Therefore, it's not a procedure that you would want to attempt.
