Education Secretary and National Education Leaders Discuss the Future of Labor-Management Collaboration on Press Call

Education Secretary Arne Duncan and representatives from leading national education groups will reflect on the conversations and ideas put forth at the Department’s recent labor management conference in Denver during a national press call at 11 a.m. MT (1 p.m. ET) on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

The Department selected 150 school districts to attend the conference. These districts represent a broad cross section that closely mirrors the make-up of America’s schools. To attend, the school board president, superintendent and teacher union or teacher association leader had to all agree to come and pledge to collaboratively develop and implement policies.
