Maj. Gen. Sharon K.G. Dunbar
Commander
Maj. Gen. Sharon K.G. Dunbar is Commander, Air Force District of Washington, Joint Base Andrews, Md. The Air Force District of Washington provides the single Air Force voice and component to the Joint Forces Headquarters-National Capital Region, as well as organizes trains and equips combat forces for the aerospace expeditionary forces, homeland operations, civil support, national special security events and ceremonial events. Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Gerard A. Caron
Commander
General Caron has oversight for medical care at bases and work sites in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. He leads a workforce of nearly 1,800 military and civilian employees who provide quality health care to more than 393,000 beneficiaries in the National Capital Region with an annual budget of more than $113 million. Col. William M. Knight
11th Wing/Joint Base Andrews Commander
Colonel Knight is responsible for providing security, personnel, contracting, finance and infrastructure support for 6 Wings, 2 Headquarters and over 50 tenant organizations, as well as 60,000 Airmen and families in the national capital region and around the world. The 11th Wing supports contingency operations in our nation's capital with immediate response rotary-assets. It also provides security for the world's highest visibility flight line and is responsible for ceremonial support with the United States Air Force Band, Honor Guard and Air Force Arlington Chaplaincy.

Commander
Brig. Gen. Marc H. Sasseville

Brig. Gen. R. Scott Williams
Commander (As of 6 Aug. 2012)
Brig. Gen. Williams assists the Director, Air National Guard in formulating, developing, and coordinating all policies, plans, and programs affecting the approximately 107,000 Guard members in more than 1,800 units throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. Colonel William Mason is commander of the 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, Md. In this role he is responsible for the training and readiness of more than 1,300 assigned wing personnel in 20 units employing eight KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft. The 459th supports Air Mobility Command's worldwide air refueling mission meeting the air refueling needs of all U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine and selected allied nations' aircraft. In addition, members of the 459 ARW are engaged in a cross section of combat support and aeromedical evacuation services for all U.S. military branches in times of peace, war, and national emergency, within the United States and abroad. read his full biograpy here
