Parents are responsible for what they purchase to feed their children. Let's not enact laws that remove a parent's responsibility to provide healthy food choices for their children. My daughters are over 21 now, but as children, they knew that despite the bright colors and cartoon characters on the front of the box, I would not purchase cereal that was high in sugar content. They learned how to read the nutritional labels at an early age and put items back on the shelf that did not meet our family criteria for healthy. Let's enforce the laws that are already on the books and stop creating new laws with definitions of advertising and marketing that are broad that the resulting court cases and counter suits only serve to line the pockets of lawyers.
