MyMedList (MML), a new app from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), allows users to electronically manage their medication list(s). Medication lists can be e-mailed or printed, can serve as a reminder for taking medications, or be shown as reference information in doctor’s offices or hospitals. The medications are also linked to the DailyMed mobile site. Past events like Hurricane Katrina have demonstrated that having access to this information during and after a disaster can be crucial.
MyMedList is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad.Requires iOS 5.0 or later.
For information about MyMedList and other mobile options from the National Library of Medicine visit NLM’s Mobile Gallery site: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mobile/index.html

PubMed Central, the free full-text archive of biomedical and life science journal literature at the National Library of Medicine, has shortened its name to PMC in order to avoid confusion with PubMed. What’s also new is PMC’s look and feel, which has been updated to conform to NCBI’s new standards for page design. This redesign allows for a cleaner and more uniform presentation across PMC’s site as well as its article, issue and journal archive pages. See the NLM Technical Bulletin for more information on these enhancements. To subscribe to email announcements or an RSS feed to the Technical Bulletin, visit this page.
