6/23/2011 - RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNS) -- The 2011A Lieutenant Colonel Line of Air Force and Medical Services Corps and the Major MSC Central Selection Boards selected 1,171 majors and 75 captains for promotion.

The boards considered 6,438 majors and 83 captains for promotion. The results of the boards are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 992 selected from 1,318 considered for 75.3 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 17 selected from 1,636 considered for 1 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 112 selected from 3,285 considered for 3.4 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
MSC - 44 selected from 58 considered for 75.9 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
MSC - 1 selected from 21 considered for 4.8 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
MSC - 5 selected from 120 considered for 4.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
MSC - 75 selected from 78 considered for 96.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for major:
MSC - 0 selected from 5 considered for 0 percent select rate
