USGS Art Hallway
The Art Hallway consists of two available wall spaces on either side of a long, wide hallway. The 12-ft. high wall spaces are 119 ft. and 45 ft. long. The remainder of the space is floor-to-ceiling glass. This space may be used to hang moderate-sized stained glass pieces, and is sometimes used for USGS science conference poster boards. To get to the Art Hallway, visitors enter through the Visitors' Entrance, pass the Auditorium and turn left into the Art Hallway. The Art Hallway, which connects the auditorium with the Lobby, Main Elevators and stairway to the cafeteria, is a main thoroughfare for visitors and USGS employees.

The National Center which is located in Reston, Virginia is a public, secured, and smoke-free building, open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Parking is available in the Visitor's Lot outside the Visitor's Entrance.
Fine Arts Committee
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Fine Arts Committee was established in April 1972. The Committee manages the art hallway for exhibitions of painting, sculpture, mural work, woven fabric, etching, photography and other art media; organizes an annual Talent Within Show for USGS employees and their families; and makes recommendations concerning materials and objects which affect the appearance and esthetic appeal of the National Center.
