Grants to government agencies and nonprofit organizations for preservation and conservation work on nationally significant artifacts, collections, and historic properties. |

Grants to American Indian tribes, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian organizations for cultural and historic preservation projects. |
Non-competitive grants through the Historic Preservation Fund assist State and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices in their efforts to protect and preserve their historic resources. Ten percent of each SHPO's allocation must be subgranted to assist Certified Local Governments, local governments certified by NPS and the state as having made a local commitment to historic preservation. |
