For Federal Agencies: Getting the Most Out of Your Office Space

Early Planning

For optimal rental rates and the best possible workspace, planning for real estate transactions begins 25 months before your occupancy agreement is scheduled to expire. Early planning is key to receiving rates, better finishes and better space alterations. It is also important for budgeting purposes as it allows more flexibility in exploring space options.

Strategic Engagements

GSA's Workplace 20|20, POR+ and Deep Dive are all workplace delivery solutions to better address issues of economic pressures, demographic shifts and technological opportunities. Participation in these programs typically leads to more employee-friendly workplaces and helps to improve productivity and engagement.

Go Green

GSA's environmental goal is to eliminate all damage to the environment resulting from its operations. The challenge is to achieve this while continuing to provide superior workplaces for federal workers. Heartland Realty Specialists will work with you throughout the real estate transaction process to coordinate sustainable design and energy programs.

Through collaboration with other governmental and nongovernmental organizations worldwide, the GSA Environment Program serves as a resource and center of expertise for all GSA organizations.
