Face to Face with a Drill Sergeant
Army National Guard

A drill sergeant lets an Army National Guard recruit know exactly how he feels. Drill sergeants aren’t there to break you; their job is to teach you the skills you need to become a Soldier. Drill sergeants want you to succeed, and about 90 percent of recruits will complete Basic Combat Training (BCT).
