We have to be careful to not disturb the individuals who've made this their home, but we have a duty to keep the bike paths clear and safe for residents and river wildlife.

Corpsmember Dean is about to tell us about our first stop today and drop some knowledge about bioswales. Oh, and we'll be removing Chinese Tree of Heaven and Castor Bean Plants which are both invasive species.

My Father Johnnie A. Johnson was a field supervisor & we lived on the Sacramento NWR from 1958 to 1979. He did the Swan ...& snow goose silhouette signs he was awarded recognition & he, so I'm told had a bird photo featured on cover of Life magazine for 1957. He passed on in 1995. This Web site is unique on featuring news from all of the refuges. My dad would be proud if he had lived to see the power of on line. Thank you. See More
