Title: The State of Container Security Standards
Published: October 17, 2007
Abstract: As cargo container security is a critical component in the U.S. homeland security, the communication among people in a chain of custody of a container needs to be timely and effective. Since people in the container custody chain often use different computer systems, the information standards are needed for enabling data sharing and exchange among heterogeneous information systems. This report contains requirements on standards in container security and a literature survey of currently available standards. More standards in sensor and custody integration need to be developed.
