David Adams was sworn in as the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
David served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for House Affairs from April of 2009 to August 3, 2011. Prior to that Mr. Adams was a staff member for 24 years in the House of Representatives working for Rep. Gary L. Ackerman and serving most recently as Staff Director of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia. Over the course of his Hill career, Mr. Adams served in a variety of staff positions on committees and in Mr. Ackerman’s personal office focusing chiefly on foreign policy but also handling a variety of domestic policy issues as well.
Mr. Adams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Arts in Comparative Politics from the American University, and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore.
