Location Challenge: Snake River, Idaho
Through this Wednesday, June 6, the Documerica, State of the Environment traveling exhibit is live at the Discovery Center of Idaho at 131 W Myrtle Street in Boise. Stop by if you live in the area! Otherwise, simply take a moment to enjoy these 1973 Documerica photos of the Snake River in Idaho by Boyd Norton.
Stay tuned later this week, as I was fortunate enought to catch up with Boyd recently and I can’t wait to share more about his ongoing work to protect wilderness around the globe.
Many still raft the Snake River today. If you are lucky enough to brave ‘Wild Sheep Rapids’ in the coming year, capture a ‘Now’ photograph for the project! If you live nearby, or are headed to this area, try to match one of these scenes and submit your entries to State of the Environment on Flickr.
