My step son travels safely without these regulations which are before your Board
for approval. Requiring audible and tactile warnings at all traffic lights is
not an acceptable method for promoting safe pedestrian crossings.
Cars do not obey traffic lights and these signals could hinder safe crossings at
these intersections. They will be annoying and subject to vandalism as well.
Local governments cannot afford these regulations and the required upkeep for
current and future signals.
As a retiree on a fixed income I cannot afford more taxes to be wasted on
regulations that are not needed nor effective. Reject these regulations as
proposed.
Sincerely,
Betty Lon Winchester
