Location #6: Houston
2011 June 20
Photographer Danny Lyon captured images of American inner city life in the early 1970s in places like Houston, El Paso, and Galveston. His photographs show the uniqueness of people and architecture in east Texas at the time. In Houston, he gave us images of the skyscrapers and storefronts in the downtown area as well as homes in urban neighborhoods.

Very cool. I have a buddy who is taking photos like these (from the past here in Houston) and then pairing them up in their present day locations. Sort of like a window in the past. It’s a pretty cool project, it’s called Houstoric Project.
