Since 2001, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has showcased the nation's premier high school football talent. The level of play in these games has demanded the absolute highest levels of mental, emotional and physical strengths for those participating. The expansive and continually growing list of prominent alumni featured in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl's history stands as proof of this strength and the extraordinary level of competition. Some of the most notable All-American alumni include: 2007 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, and Marcus Lattimore among many more.
Currently, there are more than 100 U.S. Army All-Americans playing in the NFL. During the 2011 NFL Draft, 28 U.S. Army All-Americans were selected, including five first round selections. An incredible total of 65 U.S. Army All-Americans have been selected in the past two NFL Drafts. More and more U.S. Army All-Americans enter the NFL each season as the Army All-American Bowl continues to produce some of the game’s brightest stars on its biggest stage.

Carol City High School | FL
- Phillips was named the 2004 USA Today Defensive Player of the Year after tallying 84 tackles, six interceptions, three fumble recoveries, four defensive touchdowns and three punt returns for touchdowns. He was also named All-City as a junior for Carol City after accruing 54 tackles and seven interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
College: University of Miami
- Phillips wasted no time making his presence felt in Coral Gables, earning spots on the Freshman All-ACC and Freshman All-American teams after starting 11 games and racking up 88 tackles. Phillips started 22 games over the next two seasons, both times earning All-ACC and Second-Team All-American honors.
NFL: New York Giants, Selected in the 2008 NFL Draft, 1st Round, 31st Overall Pick
- As a rookie, Phillips started three games and played in all 16 contests for the Super Bowl Champion Giants. After missing much of the 2009 season with a knee injury, Phillips has come back to start 30 games over the past two years. He was a main contributor in another Giants Super Bowl run this past season, tallying 16 tackles and a forced fumble in four playoff wins.
