Pin Ann Lin

Pin Ann Lin is a CNST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanofabrication Research Group. She received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. For her doctoral research Pin Ann synthesized metallic nanoparticles as catalysts to promote nanowire growth, and characterized the composition and structure of the particles via high resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Pin Ann is working with Renu Sharma to measure in situ the thermodynamics and reaction kinetics of carbon nanotube growth using environmental TEM.
