Community Outreach

The staff in the Eastern District of Texas Office are strongly encouraged to give back to the community we serve through a variety of avenues.

LECC

LECC

The Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee sponsors and co-sponsors training seminars for federal, state and local law enforcement agencies addressing a variety of subjects.

Project Safe Childhood

Project Safe Childhood

Project Safe Childhood (PSC) is a Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 that aims to combat the proliferation of technology-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children. The threat of sexual predators soliciting children for physical sexual contact is well-known and serious; the danger of perpetrators who produce, distribute, and possess child pornography is equally dramatic and disturbing.

Project Safe Neighborhoods

Project Safe Neighborhoods

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is a nationwide commitment to reduce gun and gang crime in America by networking existing local programs that target gun and gun crime and providing these programs with additional tools necessary to be successful.

Victim Witness Assistance

Victim Witness Assistance

Victims of crime may experience feelings of confusion, frustration, fear and anger. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas and the Victim/Witness Unit is dedicated to making sure that victims of federal crimes and their family members are treated with compassion, fairness and respect.
