Sip and sample across Chicago's culinary landscape over three delicious days, September 28-30, 2012. More than 160 of the finest restaurants and chefs in Chicago are represented – as well as hundreds of renowned vintners, spirit makers and premium breweries from around the globe – at gourmet tasting pavilions that highlight the rich variety and creativity of the world-class food scene.
To kick-off the weekend festivities, Friday evening's Hamburger Hop puts the simple dish center stage in a competition to name the city's best burger. *Please note that tickets to the 2012 Hamburger Hop went fast! The event is now sold out.
Between all the feasting, meet-and-greet with celebrated chefs and noted personalities at book signings, see the experts in their element at live demonstrations, brush up on your own skills with industry tips at insightful seminars or even enjoy exclusive tastings in the company of Master Sommeliers. Enjoy the finest vintages in the world at Grand Cru, a 2-hour tasting led by Master Sommeliers, an elite core of Chicago's top sommeliers, and representatives from many highly-regarded wineries. Soak in their wine wisdom, and the exclusive pours, at this special event within Chicago Gourmet, held both Saturday and Sunday with the purchase of a separate ticket from the Main Event.
