Greg's Tortured Metaphor

  • On Muslim students accusing Catholic University of 'violating human rights':

Having a Muslim prayer room in Catholic University would be like me sitting here on 'The Five' with a little TV watching 'The Situation Room'

  • On the Occupy Wall Street protests:

Here's the deal -- the media loves these protesters. They love then. But they have a problem when it turns out that something you love is an abusive creep. So, in a way, this tortured metaphor it turns out that the media is Rihanna and the protesters are Chris Brown. And she tried to save the Chris Brown. She tried. But she got smart and she left and she abandoned him. Meanwhile, President Obama is the neighbor next door just listening to what is going on and just says, 'I sense your frustration' but won't do a thing for Rihanna or Chris Brown

  • On Rick Perry's flat tax plan:

Remember 'Let's Make a Deal'? In order to get Monty Hall's attention, you had to wear a costume. All the candidates realize the costume is their tax plan. My fear is that once they get to their — you know, the end of the road, that costume comes off and it's no longer important. And I don't — and because it's almost impossible to legislate tax reform, it's been since the late '80s, I fear that none of these tax plans are going to happen and it's going to be a waste of time
