AMF Operations
Operations of the ARM mobile facilities encompasses planning, logistics, installation, and on-site maintenance and monitoring of all instruments and data systems. Consisting of a baseline suite of instruments, communications and data systems, and operations shelters, the AMF is transported to the site, where a small team sets up the various components. Once installation is complete, one or two technicians operate the facility 24/7 throughout its deployment.
Because of the complexity involved in planning and deploying for a different field campaign on an annual basis, each AMF is managed and operated by a different team.
