Attendees Tribal members who use, develop, or manage geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data. This may include managers, scientists, or technicians from local, county, tribal, university, federal or state agencies. The workshops are developed for people who have beginning to intermediate GIS experience.

These 1 & 2 day metadata workshops provide an introduction to workshop the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata standard, Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM) and the National Biological Inventory Infrastructure (NBII) extension of the biological data profile (BDP). Each participant will have opportunity for hands-on metadata creation and receive a workshop materials packet including the FGDC Metadata standard and BDP profile Workbook. The workshop format will include both lecture and hands-on metadata creation. A computer facility is provided.
