Tropical Depression Five-E formed from a tropical wave on 22 July, which
moved off the west coast of Africa on 08 July, and tracked across the
Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and entered the eastern North Pacific
Ocean on 16 July. A peak intensity of 30 kt was obtained from satellite
intensity estimates. After forming, Tropical Depression Five-E was
short-lived and tracked west-northwest over open ocean. No reports of damage
or any adverse impacts on shipping were received.
