On Thursday, June 14, Ambassador Susan F. Burk, Special Representative of the President for Nuclear Non-Proliferation, spoke to approximately 70 college students from over 40 different schools in the U.S. Department of State’s East Auditorium. Her remarks focused on “Investing in the Future of U.S. Non-Proliferation Policy.”  In her remarks, Ambassador Burk touched upon the work currently being done to reduce the proliferation of nuclear weapons, as well as ways that young people can become involved in this effort.  Ambassador Burk was introduced by Cheryl Benton, a Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Public Affairs.
