WASHINGTON – On Friday, May 25, 2012, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will visit GE Global Research in Niskayuna, New York, where he will tour the company’s advanced manufacturing lab. Secretary Chu will highlight the economic opportunities in the clean energy economy as well as advanced manufacturing’s potential to save American companies time and money while supporting efficient innovative product engineering and development.
Following his tour, Secretary Chu will speak at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Commencement Colloquy. On Saturday, May 26, Secretary Chu will participate in the university’s commencement ceremonies as an honorary degree recipient.
