		1 Energy Secretary Angelo T. Reyes delivered a message at the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) - Board of Directors' Strategic Planning Workshop (SPW) at the Mandarin Hotel, 19 February 2009. The PNOC-SPW is aimed at positioning the PNOC and its subsidiaries as a premiere government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC). 2 US Ambassador Kristie Kenney and Energy Department Secretary Angelo T. Reyes were among the special guests of honor during the launching of the Energy Guidebook to the Philippine Media at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel last February 18, 2009. The Energy Guidebook, through the Energy and Clean Air Project (ECAP) initiatives, is a technical assistance program of the United States Agency for Intenational Development (USAID), aimed at providing a venue for reporters to better understand the relevant economic and policy issues affecting the developments in the energy sector.

Galoc Resumes Oil Production Energy Secretary Angelo T. Reyes announced today that the Galoc Production Company (GPC), operator of the Galoc oil field or service contract 14C located northwest of Palawan, has resumed oil production on February 25 at about 9:30 in the evening after production was suspended last December 14 due to bad sea and weather conditions in the field caused by a series of typhoons. more >>
