National Archives Washington, DC-area Facilities Close for Inclement Weather

Washington, DC…The National Archives will close its Washington, DC, building and its College Park, MD, facility, including staff offices, on Saturday, December 19, 2009, due to predicted heavy snow. Both the research side and the museum in the National Archives Building will be closed.

Weather permitting, the museum will reopen on Sunday, December 20, 2009. Check the National Archives web site at http://www.archives.gov/ or call 202-357-5000 for updated information on Sunday opening of the museum.
