October 13, 2010 — Conference Call to Discuss DOE-EPA Partnership on ENERGY STAR

EPA and DOE held a conference call on October 13, 2010, with EPA Assistant Administrator Gina McCarthy and DOE Acting Under Secretary of Energy/Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, Cathy Zoi, who provided a progress update and offered stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.

May 26, 2010 — Conference Call to Discuss EPA-DOE Partnership 2010 Work Plan

DOE and EPA hosted a conference call on May 26, 2010 to provide information about the joint planning efforts of DOE and EPA in implementing the ENERGY STAR and Buildings Programs.

On December 2, 2009, the EPA and DOE issued the Enhanced Program Plan for ENERGY STAR Products PDF (205KB), engaging interested parties in a discussion of key program enhancements outlined in the MOU.

EPA and DOE hosted a conference call on October 13, 2010 from 12:00–1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. During the conference call EPA Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation Gina McCarthy and DOE Acting Under Secretary of Energy/Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, Cathy Zoi provided a progress update and offered stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.

September 20, 2009 — Overview of EPA-DOE MOU

On September 30, 2009, the EPA and DOE signed a new agreement designed to enhance and strengthen the trusted ENERGY STAR program.

Lighting

Along with their general program enhancement proposals, on December 4, 2009 EPA and DOE released the Lighting Integration Proposal, a plan to integrate the existing four lighting specifications into two technology neutral specifications: ENERGY STAR Luminaires, and ENERGY STAR Lamps. The integration of these specifications and programs is intended to facilitate a comparison of products across technologies, and to simplify program administration.
