Development Programs

Food for Peace grants that provide developmental assistance which targets the underlying causes of hunger and malnutrition, including interventions in health and nutrition, agriculture, and water and sanitation, among others. Development programs are usually three to five years in duration, and can be funded with a combination of Title II emergency and development resources, or only development resources over the life of the activity. Development program resources focus on a select number of priority countries, proposals for which are submitted to Food for Peace on an annual basis.
