Eagle Books — Hold an Event
Flying with the Eagle Video
This video shows how the Eagle Books were used as the basis of outreach events in Keweenaw Bay, MI and Albuquerque, NM, and suggested ways the materials can be used in other communities.
Rain that Dances talks about Holding an Event
You know, the best part of being physically active and making healthy choices is that I’m doing it with friends. Take it from me, Rain that Dances. Together, it’s easier and much more fun!
Communities just like yours have held terrific health fairs and school assemblies based on the themes, messages, and characters of the Eagle Books. We’ve provided files and instructions for creating backdrops, activity materials, promotional documents, and much more to help you plan and host your own Eagle Books event.
Look through all the documents posted to get a clear idea of the planning necessary to hold an event. Some support materials take time to create or adapt for your use. An item may be used as is or altered to accommodate your ideas. For example, you may wish to print a cutout figure of Mr. Eagle to stand 4 feet high or print him 12 inches high to use as table top decorations or stick puppets.
Many material files can be printed from your desktop inkjet or laser/LED printers. Several items feature small and large file options so you can print materials for handouts or create backdrops and props. For very large files or those requiring unusual paper stock, contact a professional print facility for assistance.
