According to Dr. Carter, (Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logsitics), "this DoD Weapon System Acquisition Reform: Product Support Assessment captures the findings and recommendations need to drive the next generation of product support strategies. During its year-long study, our 65-member pan-DoD and industry team led by the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Materiel Readiness, identified eight principal areas, that, if developed or improved, will make product support more effective and acquisition reform more far-reaching."
